Creative Capers Visits Walt Disney’s Office!
Our Capers Captains — Sue, Terry, and David — were thrilled to receive an exclusive visit to Walt Disney’s newly refurbished “Suite 3H” office on the Disney Lot! Originally housing his offices from 1940 until his death in 1966, Bob Iger and The Walt Disney Company wanted to restore this space to its original form as a way to permanently honor Walt.
Renovated in 2015, this four-roomed workspace is as grand as Walt himself – complete with gifts from former clients, friends, and Hollywood legends, as well as Walt’s personal collection of miniatures and books. Within this space are a secretary ensuite, a formal entertaining office, Walt’s more relaxed working office, and a personal kitchenette.
Sue’s favorite aspect of the tour was the fact that you could still feel Walt’s presence, which made it easy to envision what it would be like to spend time with him. Terry was impressed that each and every detail was placed exactly as it was when Walt was alive. David’s favorite part of the tour was seeing Walt’s cans of chili…proving that even a man who builds an empire is “still a man who needs to eat!”
